Love this place. The energy, positive vibes, delicious cakes and ice cream, homy feel and overall great customer service experience every time. Pistachio everything is always my favorite but I love that you get to sample everything before you can commit to a specific item. I enjoy their products so much that I take a road trip every time just to come to this amazing place.

I was gift some Bundt Cakes for my birthday as well as a cookie and they both were extremely delicious. I was surprised of the quality of cake. The rum quality is not overwhelming. I enjoyed all the flavors. I am a sweets guy for sure so this was up my alley.

Wow. First off, the owner - sooooo friendly, welcoming and kind. Encourages you to try generous samples of all the different rum cake flavors and ice cream. Treats you like family. All of the rum cakes were good, but my favorites were the Butter Rum & Caramel, Pineapple Upside Down and Amaretto. Ice cream flavors I enjoyed were the Jamaican Rum Cream and Rum Raisin. Definitely come out and support this small business because everything is delicious!!!

We were at Eavesdrop Brewery when we spotted Rumalutions. We have never seen a rum cake shop and we were very curious. They were very generous with their samples and we got to try a variety of rum cakes, ice cream, and the chocolate chip cookie. Our favorite rum cakes are butter rum and caramel and irish cream pistachio.  We tried the saffron, ube cheesecake, and a rum flavored ice cream and they were all so delicious. Their ice cream is so creamy and flavorful. You can definitely taste the flavors.  We will definitely come back again when we visit our family. This place is definitely a hidden gem. You can't go wrong with any rum cakes or ice cream.

Sampled three varieties at the Sunday West End Farm Market (Alexandria); the Butter Rum & Caramel, Chocolate/Chocolate Chip, and White Velvet are amazing. Bought all three mini cakes. The packaging makes them easy to freeze as they're vacuum packed. Order in bulk and get a discount! These little cakes are so moist. Highly recommend this lovely bakery and can't wait to visit the storefront. I'm so grateful to have found them.

I really don't want to leave a 5-Star review because this place has always been one of the best kept secrets for me ice cream wise throughout the DC Metro Area. As a matter of fact, with the blueberry ice cream and cookies and cream alone, I would objectively put theirs ahead of everyone else's. I'll go even further to say outside of Mashti's, Carmela's and Diddy Riese in Los Angeles as well as a couple of spots in San Francisco and NYC, it's the best ice cream I ever had in the United States. I think the main reason why I decided to post a review is because I want to see them grow their ice cream selection to include more coffee and chocolate based ice cream flavors like a special way of serving Rocky Road or French Silk. With that in mind, something has to be said for their ice cream to leave that kind of an impression with me serving flavors that I traditionally would not consider my go-to flavors. I'm def impressed.

When it comes to desserts I lean more towards pies, but the rum cakes at this black owned business made me reconsider my entire dessert list. I got to sample all the offerings and nearly bought every cake available. There definitely was no skimping on the rum or the flavors. My favorite was the pineapple and the amaretto. The ice cream was equally delicious. This was my first time tasting grape nut ice cream and this could be one of the main reasons I return.
